Palestinian Minister Shaheen met with French officials
Ramallah, June 2 (Hibya) – Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Farsin Aghabekian Shaheen, discussed ongoing preparations for an international peace conference with the French Consul and a representative from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Shaheen met with Romaric Roignan, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department of the French Foreign Ministry, French Consul General in Jerusalem Nicolas Kassianides, Director of the Diplomatic Training Program and Senior Advisor Dr. Ahmad Salami Kabha, Protocol Chief Advisor Sharif Mallouh, and staff of the Europe and Media Department.
The meeting addressed the latest political developments in the region as well as preparations for an international peace conference planned to be held under the sponsorship of France and Saudi Arabia.
Shaheen emphasized that France’s recognition of the State of Palestine is a step in the right direction in supporting the two-state solution principle.
