Palestine: All targeted structures are purely civilian
Tulkarem, January 1 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the house demolitions and forced displacements carried out by Israeli occupation forces in the Nour Shams Refugee Camp east of Tulkarem, calling on the international community to take urgent action.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the large-scale demolitions and forced evacuations carried out by Israeli occupation forces in the Nour Shams Refugee Camp.
The Ministry said: “These practices are part of a systematic policy aimed at emptying refugee camps in the occupied West Bank. They are illegal acts that violate international law and human rights and seek to uproot Palestinians from their land and sever their cultural ties.”
The Ministry noted that the demolition of 25 buildings in the Nour Shams Camp resulted in the forced displacement of around 100 families in a single day, describing this as “a systematic escalation that increases the suffering of civilians,” and rejected Israel’s security justifications.
It stressed: “All targeted structures are purely civilian.”
The Ministry called on the international community to “stop these crimes, protect civilians and their homes, ensure the uninterrupted work of humanitarian organizations, hold those responsible accountable, and activate legal, diplomatic and political mechanisms to end Israel’s dangerous escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories.”
