Washington, July 25 (Hibya) - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that the Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON) mission has ended.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that the Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON) mission has ended after successfully advancing our understanding of Earth's surface opening to space.
According to NASA's statement, ICON specialized in studying airglow - colourful bands of gas at the edge of space that contain many clues about the functioning of the atmosphere.
NASA's Heliophysics Division Director Joe Westlake said, "The ICON mission truly lived up to its name."
