Mutual operations continue along the Ukraine–Russia line
Moscow, March 26 (Hibya) - Fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces is intensifying in the Donetsk region and around critical infrastructure facilities, with both sides continuing to report mutual attacks and destruction.
According to CCTV, Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that it had taken control of a settlement in the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours and targeted 149 Ukrainian sites, including energy facilities and ammunition depots.
Ukraine’s General Staff stated that it repelled Russian attacks on multiple fronts and that a total of 191 combat engagements took place over the last day.
According to air defense data, Russia claims to have shot down 543 drones, while Ukraine claims 2,459; Ukraine’s Security Service reported a long-range strike on Russia’s oil infrastructure along the Baltic coast.
Kremlin spokesperson Peskov said that the United States had informed Russia about the talks in Florida and noted that Moscow remains open to contact with Washington through existing channels.
