Mixed performance observed in U.S. stock markets
Istanbul, June 23 (Hibya) - U.S. markets showed a mixed performance on the first trading day of the week.
U.S. markets showed a mixed performance on the first trading day of the week. While the Dow Jones and Russell 2000 indices posted gains, the S&P 500, NASDAQ, and NASDAQ 100 indices declined.
The Dow Jones (DJIA) index rose 0.29 percent to 51,712.71 points. The Russell 2000 (RUSS 2K) index gained 0.83 percent to reach 3,004.404 points.
The S&P 500 index fell 0.37 percent to 7,472.79 points. The NASDAQ index lost 1.32 percent, declining to 26,166.602 points.
The NASDAQ 100 index also fell by 0.19 percent, ending the day at 30,347.083 points.
