European market indices showed a mixed performance during the trading session. While some of the region's leading indices gained ground, others recorded losses.

The pan-European STOXX Europe 600 Index remained largely unchanged at 618.64 points. Germany's DAX Index traded at 24,433.06 points, while France's CAC 40 Index stood at 8,203.43 points.

In the United Kingdom, the FTSE 100 Index fell by 1.41 percent to 10,227.33 points, marking one of the most notable losses of the day.

Italy's FTSE MIB Index, on the other hand, rose by 0.10 percent to 50,262.76 points, outperforming most major indices.
