Asia-Pacific markets showed a mixed performance during the week's trading session. Japan's stock market experienced sharp selling pressure, while Australian and Indian markets posted modest gains.

Japan's benchmark Nikkei index fell 4.01 percent to 62,329.44 points, marking the steepest decline in the region.

In China, the Shanghai Composite Index declined 0.98 percent to 3,820.52 points, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index slipped 0.11 percent to trade at 25,178.21 points.

In contrast, Australia's ASX 200 Index rose 0.41 percent to 8,929.90 points, while India's Nifty 50 Index edged up 0.07 percent to 24,015.00 points.

Overall, Asian markets posted a mixed performance, as limited gains in Australia and India partially offset the selling pressure led by Japan.
