Global bond markets showed a mixed performance on the first trading day of the week. While 10-year bond yields in the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom declined, German and French bond yields posted modest gains.

The benchmark U.S. 10-year Treasury yield fell by 11 basis points to 4.63%. The UK 10-year government bond yield also declined to 4.9665%, while Japan's 10-year government bond yield was recorded at 2.777%.

In Europe, however, an upward trend drew attention. Germany's 10-year bond yield rose to 3.1342%, while France's 10-year bond yield climbed to 3.9186%.

Movements in bond markets continue to be driven by investors' assessments of the global inflation outlook, expectations regarding central banks' interest rate policies, and economic data.

In particular, the decline in U.S. and UK bond yields pointed to stronger demand for safe-haven assets, while European bonds recorded modest gains.
