Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar issued a statement regarding the accident caused by the derailment of the Rehman Baba Express train near Multan.

Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of life, Dar extended his condolences to the families of those who died and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

In his statement, Dar said, "During this difficult time, I pray to Allah to grant patience and strength to the families of those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to all those injured."

Dar stated that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the government were deeply concerned about the accident. He said relevant authorities had been instructed to ensure prompt medical treatment for the injured, provide necessary assistance to affected passengers and their families, and ensure that rescue teams and first responders deliver the required support.
