According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met on Sunday in Tripoli with Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of UNSMIL.

The meeting discussed cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations, particularly support for the political process in Libya. The UN’s efforts to promote security and stability in the country were also reviewed.

President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Dr. Mohamed El-Menfi, also met on Sunday in Tripoli with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi.

The meeting addressed bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop these relations, as well as regional developments and topics of mutual interest.
