Merz reacts to the European Parliament’s decision on the Mercosur agreement
Berlin, January 21 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz reacted to the European Parliament’s decision to suspend the Mercosur agreement.
German Chancellor Merz stated that the European Parliament’s decision regarding the Mercosur agreement was disappointing.
Saying that the geopolitical situation had been misjudged, Merz said, “We are confident that the agreement is legally sound. There should be no further delays. The agreement must be provisionally implemented immediately.”
