Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said they stand in full solidarity with Germany following the Russian hybrid attack in Leipzig.

Meloni emphasized that the security of allied countries means the security of all countries, saying Russia’s attempts to intimidate European countries and create divisions among allies would not succeed.

Meloni said hybrid actions targeting any one of the allies concern all countries and that such attempts would be met with a common and united response.

Meloni highlighted the importance of maintaining a determined stance at times like these and continuing close cooperation among allied countries.

Meloni said a credible deterrence posture must be maintained to protect the security of citizens and emphasized the importance of allies continuing to act together throughout this process.
