Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni emphasized the Special Strategic Partnership launched with India and announced that the two countries would continue working together on the Economic Corridor project.

Beginning her statement by thanking Modi, Meloni said, “Dear Mr. Narendra Modi, thank you for your kind words and your friendship. Relations between Italy and India are stronger than ever.”

Highlighting the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries, Meloni said, “The Special Strategic Partnership that we launched during our last meeting demonstrates the importance of this bond, the desire of our nations to create new opportunities for growth by combining their expertise, and their willingness to seize the extraordinary opportunities for cooperation ahead.”

Meloni concluded her statement by saying, “I am confident that Italy and India will continue to strengthen the bond between our continents by working side by side to develop the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.”
