Meloni: As of February 2025, employment has reached 24.332 million
Rome, April 1 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced that as of February 2025, the number of employed people in Italy has reached 24.332 million.
Meloni recalled that in October 2022, the number of employed persons in Italy was 23.231 million.
Based on ISTAT’s research, Meloni emphasized that this number had risen to over a million more by February 2025, stating: “First and foremost, this is the result of the efforts of many businesses. As a government, we tried to do our part. In just over two years, we worked to create opportunities, support enterprises, and restore dignity to work.”
She added that the idea of Italy is taking shape step by step: “There’s still much to be done, and we will not stop, because the first answer for those who want a stronger nation and a more prosperous future is work.”
