French President Emmanuel Macron thanked law enforcement officers who worked throughout the week to maintain republican order in a post on his social media account.

Macron stated that the state had fully fulfilled its duties despite difficult circumstances and announced that he had also met with high school student unions.

Macron expressed his gratitude to law enforcement officers with the following words:

“On behalf of everyone, I would like to thank our law enforcement officers who were mobilized this week to ensure republican order everywhere. Thanks to them, and despite difficult circumstances, the state was there to fulfill its duties.”

Addressing the demands of young people, Macron said he had listened to their legitimate expectations during his meeting with high school student unions on Friday. He added, “The Prime Minister and ministers will continue this dialogue starting tomorrow and provide very concrete answers.”
