French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he hosted Benin President Romuald Wadagni during his first visit to France since taking office.

Macron said Benin and France have a relationship between equals based on friendship, trust and shared goals. He said the two countries want to create more opportunities for young people, strengthen partnerships and establish new forms of cooperation for the future.

Macron also said that, in this context, they met with businesspeople from the Africa Forward Impact Coalition, adding that the initiative aims to encourage mutual investment and cooperation between companies.
