Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva commented on the process concerning the examination of Flávio Bolsonaro's bank, tax and telephone records in a statement on his social media account.

Lula stated that his campaign had fulfilled its responsibilities, announcing that at 11:00 a.m. they submitted a request to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to lift the confidentiality of bank, tax and telephone records.

Lula accused Flávio Bolsonaro of postponing and obstructing the process, saying that the Brazilian people deserve to know the truth. Addressing Bolsonaro, Lula said, "Enough excuses and theatrics. Lift the confidentiality, Flávio!"
