Brussels, March 10 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that nuclear and renewable sources will play an important role together in Europe’s energy transition.

Drawing attention to nuclear energy’s ability to produce electricity continuously, von der Leyen said, “Nuclear energy can be used 24 hours a day and provide electricity throughout the year. Europe has been a pioneer in nuclear technology and can become a leader again.”
