Lavrov: European leaders are preparing for war against Russia
Moscow, January 23 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov delivered diplomatic assessments ranging from the situation in Ukraine to Middle East policy, stressing that Russia’s isolation has not materialized and that it will firmly defend its interests.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov made key statements at a press conference on the results of diplomacy in 2025, noting that European leaders do not hide their preparations for war against Russia.
Lavrov said Russia’s so-called isolation has not occurred despite all efforts by its adversaries, adding that Ukraine is in poor condition both on the battlefield and politically, with corruption scandals in Kyiv overshadowing many processes.
He emphasized that attempts by external powers to destabilize Iran’s internal political situation are concerning, and stated that a long-term solution in the Middle East requires the implementation of the UN decision on the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Lavrov also said Russia will consistently defend its interests while safeguarding its legitimate rights without violating the rights of others, and will continue working on concrete projects with countries willing to cooperate on the basis of equality.
