Lahbib: What the Sudanese people need is an immediate ceasefire
Brussels, February 4 (Hibya) - The European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, stated that what the Sudanese people need is an immediate ceasefire.
Lahbib condemned the attacks on a hospital in El Fasher last week and on a market in Khartoum over the weekend.
She noted that hundreds of civilians have been killed and injured in Sudan, adding: "These are clear violations of international humanitarian law. Immediate ceasefire. This is what the Sudanese people need".
