Lahbib: The village of Tarasin was wiped out by the landslide in Sudan
Brussels, 2 September (Hibya) – The European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, announced that the village of Tarasin had been completely wiped out following a landslide in Sudan.
Commissioner Lahbib stated that the landslide in Sudan has entirely erased the village of Tarasin.
Noting that the area is highly isolated and that the delivery of humanitarian aid has become more difficult, especially due to the ongoing war, she said: “The EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid team in Sudan stands ready to coordinate assistance if needed.”
