Brussels, February 5 (Hibya) - European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, announced the start of clinical trials for the vaccine against the Ebola outbreak in Uganda.
Commissioner Lahbib emphasized that the commitment to health security in response to the Ebola outbreak in Uganda is stronger than ever.
Announcing the start of clinical trials for the vaccine in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Commission’s Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority, and other partners, Lahbib stated: "Preparedness is crucial. Let us anticipate threats together."
