Katz: No disagreement between political leadership and military over Iran
Tel Aviv, October 26 (Hibya) - Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz denied reports of disagreements between the political leadership and the military over Iran, stating that Israel has no intention of launching an attack on Iran before the elections.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that reports suggesting disagreements between the political leadership and the Israel Defense Forces regarding Iran are completely baseless.
Katz said that since taking office as defense minister, coordination between the prime minister, himself and the Israeli military on Iran has been complete, adding that this cooperation has produced historic and unprecedented results for Israel's security. Katz emphasized that their sole priority is Israel's security and that this approach will continue in the future.
Katz stressed that Israel has absolutely no intention of launching an attack on Iran before the country's elections, noting that it has already been made clear that Israel would respond forcefully if Iran attacked it. Maintaining that reports on the matter are entirely unfounded, Katz alleged that opposition representatives were using these reports to criticize the prime minister and himself and to cast doubt on their decisions.
