Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz made statements regarding Hezbollah’s attacks and the broader military strategy in the region.

Regarding Hezbollah and the Iranian regime, Minister Katz said: “The terrorist organization Hezbollah will pay a heavy price for firing at Israel, and Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem, who decided to open fire under Iranian pressure, has now become a target that must be thwarted. Anyone who follows Khamenei’s path will soon find himself alongside him in the depths of hell, together with all those thwarted by the axis of evil.”

Emphasizing that there will be no return to the rules of engagement prior to October 7, Katz said: “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have instructed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to act forcefully against Hezbollah. At the same time, within the framework of Operation ‘Harrier’s Roar,’ we will continue pursuing our main objective of crushing and defeating the Iranian terrorist regime and neutralizing its capabilities.”

Katz concluded his remarks by saying: “In this way, we will eliminate the threats against the State of Israel and enable Iranian citizens to rise up against it and overthrow it.”
