Kallas: Armenia is a key pillar in our relations with the South Caucasus
Yerevan, May 5 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas made a statement in Yerevan, where she was present on the occasion of the first EU-Armenia summit, regarding bilateral cooperation and a new EU mission aimed at strengthening Armenia’s resilience.
European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas addressed partnership and regional security issues following the meetings held within the scope of the summit.
Emphasizing the importance of the summit and areas of cooperation, Kallas said, “Our first EU-Armenia summit is a landmark moment diplomatically, and I thank Armenia for hosting us in Yerevan.”
Referring to Armenia’s importance, Kallas stated, “Armenia is a key pillar in our relations with the South Caucasus. Today, we built closer ties in trade, energy, and digital areas.”
Giving a message of support for Armenia’s sovereignty and security, Kallas said, “The EU will support the Armenian people in choosing their own destiny, including through a new EU mission to counter foreign interference and strengthen resilience.”
