Jetten held a phone call with Flemish Government Leader Diependaele
Amsterdam, April 1 (Hibya) - Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, following his conversation with Flemish Government Leader Matthias Diependaele, emphasized the deep economic and strategic ties between the Netherlands and Flanders and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cooperation.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten made a statement regarding joint projects with the neighboring region of Flanders, cross-border labor, and solidarity within the framework of the European Union (EU).
Expressing his satisfaction with the meeting, Jetten said: “It was great to meet Matthias Diependaele from Flanders this morning. The Netherlands and Flanders are good neighbors, and our cooperation is important for both of us.”
Highlighting the level of integration between the two regions, Jetten added: “For example, our ports, our chemical sector, and our high-tech industries are closely interconnected, and many people work on both sides of our shared border.”
Referring to joint efforts on regional and international security, Jetten stated: “Within Benelux and the EU, we work together, including in the field of security. I look forward to our cooperation.”
