Italian FM Tajani: Tariffs benefit no one
Brussels, April 10 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that tariffs benefit no one.
Tajani commented on US President Donald Trump’s statements about global tariffs, emphasizing that Europe should immediately suspend countermeasures related to tariffs:
"This is the approach I requested on behalf of the Italian Government at last Monday’s meeting in Luxembourg.
It is important to continue negotiations with the United States. We must seek solutions suitable for America and everyone. Tariffs benefit no one – we do not want to enter a trade war with the United States."
