Israeli army: We killed two Hamas commanders
Tel Aviv, October 26 (Hibya) - The Israeli army and Shin Bet reported that Muhammad Halawa, serving in Hamas's military intelligence unit, and Ahmed Zahir Fuad Abu Udah, the engineering commander of the military wing, were killed in airstrikes launched in the Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the Israeli army and Shin Bet killed Muhammad Halawa, who served in Hamas's military intelligence unit, in an attack carried out two days ago in Gaza City in the southern Gaza Strip.
The statement noted that Ahmed Zahir Fuad Abu Udah, who served as the engineering commander in Hamas's military wing, was killed in another attack carried out last week.
The Israeli army claimed that the individuals in question were planning attacks against Israeli forces and citizens and trying to rebuild Hamas's capabilities. The statement argued that the attacks were carried out due to the systematic violation of the ceasefire.
The Israeli army also reported that security forces will continue to deploy and maintain their activities in the region in accordance with the provisions of the agreement.
