Israeli army hits mosque in southern Lebanon
Stockholm, October 5 (Hibya) - The Israeli army hit a mosque next to a hospital in southern Lebanon, adding to the growing list of civilian infrastructure it has targeted in the country.
Salah Ghandour Hospital said nine medical and nursing staff were injured in the attacks, many of them seriously, after receiving an evacuation warning from Israel.
The Israeli army claimed that Hezbollah fighters were inside the mosque when it was targeted, but no evidence was provided.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported that the grounds of the hospital in the southern town of Bint Jbeil were “subject to Israeli shelling.”
The sources said the hospital director was also directly injured in the hospital attack and has been evacuated.
