Israel criticizes the Palestinian Authority's education system
Jerusalem, July 20 (Hibya) – Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the Palestinian Authority of glorifying terrorism through its education system. The ministry claimed that some schools are named after individuals associated with terrorist attacks.
In its statement, Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs cited the Amin al-Husseini Primary and Middle School in Ramallah, the Abdullah Azzam Primary School in Jenin, and the Dalal al-Mughrabi Girls' Primary School in Hebron as examples. The ministry stated that the schools were named after Amin al-Husseini, who is alleged to have collaborated with Nazi Germany, Abdullah Azzam, who is regarded as one of the founders of al-Qaeda, and Dalal al-Mughrabi, who is identified as the perpetrator of the 1978 Coastal Road attack.
The ministry argued that this practice serves not the education of children but the glorification of terrorism.
