Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced that he and United States (US) Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee have signed a land allocation agreement for the permanent US Embassy building to be constructed in Jerusalem.
Sa'ar described US President Donald Trump's decision to relocate the embassy to Jerusalem as "the restoration of historical justice," saying it was one of the most significant diplomatic decisions of recent years.
Sa'ar said: "Just as the United States is vital and irreplaceable for Israel, Israel is also vital for the United States and its interests in the region. The land in the El Albi complex in Jerusalem will be allocated to the embassy for its permanent building in accordance with the government's decision.
