According to CCTV, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that if Washington launches a military operation against Iran, Tehran will view US and Israeli military bases and facilities in the Middle East as “legitimate targets.”

Speaking at a parliamentary session convened to discuss an urgent proposal related to meeting procedures, Ghalibaf emphasized that in this sensitive period Iran must accurately and comprehensively identify the plans of its rivals.

Ghalibaf stated that Iran is currently facing Israel and the United States simultaneously on four fronts.

Since late December, protests have erupted in many Iranian cities due to declining incomes and long-standing economic hardships, while Iranian officials acknowledged the demonstrations and said they are willing to address economic grievances.
