Iran responds to attacks in Gaza
Tehran, July 16 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei condemned Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza.
In a statement on Tuesday, Baghaei strongly denounced the Israeli strikes, noting that over 100 Palestinians had been killed in the past 24 hours. He added that the attacks targeted Palestinian Legislative Council member Mohammed Faraj al-Ghoul and prominent Qur’an reciter Ala Azzam and his family.
Baghaei described the prevention of food and medicine from entering Gaza, the imposition of thirst and hunger on civilians, and the bombing of camps sheltering displaced civilians as “brutal war crimes.”
The statement further claimed that the so-called humanitarian aid centers established by the U.S. and Israel had become traps for civilians and sites of attacks targeting hungry and thirsty women and children.
Baghaei called on all governments and international institutions responsible for human rights and international humanitarian law to take urgent action.
