Iran: Death toll in US-Israel attacks rises to 1,045
Tehran, March 5 (Hibya) – Iran announced on Wednesday that the death toll from the ongoing US-Israel attacks since Saturday has risen to 1,045.
According to CCTV, Iran announced that 1,045 people across the country have been killed as a result of the joint US-Israel attacks that began on Saturday morning targeting Tehran and several other Iranian cities.
It was reported that Iran's religious leader Ali Khamenei, members of his family, senior military commanders and many civilians lost their lives in these attacks. Iran responded to the attacks with numerous missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles targeting Israeli and US assets in the region.
According to reports, in the early hours of Wednesday morning US and Israeli forces struck a girls' school in the city of Urmia in West Azerbaijan province. The attack reportedly occurred one day after the funeral ceremony for 165 female students and staff who were killed in an attack on a primary school in the city of Minab in Iran's southern Hormozgan province on Saturday.
