IDF: Weapons depots struck in Gaza
Tel Aviv, July 29 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that numerous weapons depots it said belonged to Hamas in the northern and central Gaza Strip were targeted over the past week.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that numerous weapons depots it said belonged to Hamas in the northern and central Gaza Strip were struck over the past week.
According to the IDF, one of the targeted depots was located inside a mosque in the northern Gaza Strip. The statement alleged that Hamas stores weapons within civilian infrastructure and places of worship, intending to use them in attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians.
The IDF said the depots were destroyed in order to eliminate the threat posed by the weapons.
The statement also said that Israeli forces under the Southern Command continue to be deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue their operations.
