Higher education regulations discussed in Pakistan
Islamabad, July 1 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that regulations concerning the establishment and accreditation of universities were discussed during a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar was held to review the current guidelines governing the establishment of universities and higher education institutions.
During the meeting, participants discussed the draft 2026 Higher Education Commission (HEC) regulatory framework, received input from relevant stakeholders, and evaluated their recommendations. Dar emphasized that improving quality and transparency in higher education remains one of the government's key priorities.
