Harris warns in Oprah Winfrey interview: If someone comes into my house, they will be shot
Washington, September 20 (Hibya) - "If someone comes into my house, they will be shot," Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris said in response to a question during an interview with American talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
Harris then laughed, sounding surprised herself. "I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have said that. But my staff will deal with that later. I'm not trying to take away everyone's guns," Harris added.
Kamala Harris met with Oprah Winfrey on Thursday for a "virtual rally" with a wide-ranging sit-down interview. In the interview, Harris attacked her rival's stance on reproductive rights and vowed to sign a border security bill blocked by Senate Republicans. Still, she was largely on guard against the legendary television interviewer.
During the nearly 90-minute chat, Harris spoke directly to viewers who expressed concerns about immigration, the cost of living and the crackdown on reproductive rights.
