Harris: Europe is not seeking any conflict
Dublin, 20 January (Hibya) – Irish Tánaiste Simon Harris stressed, in remarks made during the EU Finance Ministers (ECOFIN) and Eurogroup meetings in Brussels, that Europe is going through an existential moment in terms of trade and diplomacy.
Irish Tánaiste Simon Harris made a statement following his contacts with representatives of European Union member states in Brussels.
Drawing attention to the geopolitical and economic challenges facing Europe, Harris said: “This morning in Brussels, I met with colleagues from across the European Union. This is an existential moment for Europe. We are united and we will remain united.”
Emphasizing Europe’s peaceful and constructive stance, Harris added: “Europe is not seeking any conflict or dispute. Critical days lie ahead of us.”
