Guterres: We need peace in Sudan
New York, 24 November (Hibya) – United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres renewed his international call for an end to violence in Sudan.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated in his remarks on the clashes in Sudan that the country urgently needs peace.
Guterres emphasized the need for hostilities to stop immediately and called for the safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance.
He said: “We need humanitarian aid to be delivered safely and without obstruction. The flow of arms and fighters must stop. The Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces must come to the negotiating table.”
