Ghebreyesus meets Angolan Health Minister Lutucuta
Luanda, 24 November (Hibya) – WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that Angolan Health Minister Dr. Silvia Lutucuta welcomed the ongoing efforts to improve health services in Angola.
Ghebreyesus said that Minister Lutucuta warmly received him in Angola ahead of the AUEU25 Summit.
Regarding the health services presented, he noted: “We look forward to discussing in more detail Angola’s efforts to provide essential health services to its citizens and to visiting health facilities during your time in Luanda.”
He added that “the African Union–European Commission Summit offers a critical opportunity to strengthen cooperation between African and European countries and multilateral partners, including the WHO, to advance the vision of health for all.”
The Director-General emphasized that the summit is an important step towards enhancing multilateral cooperation in health and improving access to healthcare services across all communities.
