According to an announcement by the China Manned Space Program Agency, today at 15:48, "space teachers" astronauts Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu, and Gui Haichao gave their first lesson inside the Mengtian Laboratory module to students from around the world.
The three astronauts, who participated in the Shenzhou-16 mission, conducted experiments during the approximately 48-minute lesson, including a flame experiment inside a sphere, an impressive "ping pong" experiment, and a momentum conservation experiment, explaining the relevant principles.
Approximately 2,800 students participated in the lesson, which was live-streamed by the China Media Group (CMG).
During the application and development phase of the space station, it is expected that space lessons will continue as part of the "Tiangong Class."
