EU Commissioner Lahbib: EU increased humanitarian aid to Syria
Brussels, December 21 (Hibya) - EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib held a phone call with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.
EU Commissioner Hadja Lahbib reaffirmed during a phone call with UNHCR's Filippo Grandi that UNHCR remains a key partner of the EU.
Highlighting that the conditions for large-scale refugee returns to Syria have not yet been met, Lahbib stated: "The right to security must be protected from forced returns. The EU has increased humanitarian aid to Syria. We also discussed Gaza, Lebanon, and Turkey."
