According to a statement by Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, the foreign ministers of Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Egypt condemned the Israeli parliament’s law allowing the implementation of the death penalty in the West Bank.

The statement said that the actual implementation of this measure against Palestinians is discriminatory and escalatory, and could threaten regional stability.

The ministers emphasized that Israel’s practices undermine the rights of the Palestinian people and stressed their opposition to these policies.

The statement also expressed concerns about the situation of Palestinians held in Israeli custody and called on all parties to avoid steps that could increase tensions.
