De Wever: Terrorists tried to divide us and paralyze us with fear
Brussels, March 22 (Hibya) - Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever commemorated the victims on the 10th anniversary of the Brussels and Zaventem attacks, stating that terrorism has been resisted with humanity and dignity and that security forces continue to seriously uphold their duty to protect the way of life.

Referring to the impact of the attacks and social solidarity, De Wever said, "Ten years after the Brussels and Zaventem attacks, we remember the victims and many lives forever changed. Terrorists tried to divide us and paralyze us with fear."
Highlighting the responsibilities of security units, De Wever stated, "Those responsible for our security have the duty to take the lessons of the past to heart. I take this duty very seriously. I am especially grateful for the boundless dedication and courage of the countless emergency response teams and security personnel who stand ready every day to protect our way of life."
Sharing a message of support for the victims, De Wever said, "Today, my thoughts are with all the victims, their loved ones, and everyone whose lives have been affected by terrorism."
