Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, in a statement regarding incidents of violence in the country, stressed the importance of maintaining public order and guaranteeing fundamental rights, while calling for an examination of the causes behind the events. Crosetto thanked the security forces and emphasized the need for an in-depth analysis of the reasons why young people turn to violence.

Crosetto stated, "Violence must be stopped, and those who engage in violence must be punished." Expressing his gratitude to the Carabinieri, police, and other security forces protecting cities, Crosetto noted that the rule of law, along with the rights to freedom, property, free movement, and personal security, must be protected under all circumstances.

Drawing attention to the large number of young people and minors among those involved in the incidents, Crosetto emphasized that attempting to understand the root causes of what happened does not mean justifying violence. "Understanding what happened, including its deep and fundamental causes, does not mean legitimizing violence or making excuses for it. These are two separate and parallel issues," Crosetto said.

Crosetto stated that the influence of role models outside schools and families, different value systems, and changes in perceptions of right and wrong on the development of younger generations should be examined. He also warned that the rapid transformation taking place around the world carries significant risks. Crosetto noted that technological changes could trigger social upheavals capable of threatening even the achievements of advanced democratic systems. He argued that the existing structures, procedures, and decision-making processes of state institutions are struggling to keep pace with the speed of the modern world.

Pointing out that the events reflect a structural problem independent of political views, Crosetto stated that no government could address this lag on its own. "New social agreements, new ways of living together, and institutions capable of keeping pace with the times will be needed," he said. Emphasizing that this process requires political maturity, a sense of responsibility, and an awareness of the seriousness of the historical moment, Crosetto stated that, despite the disappointments he had experienced, he had not given up searching for solutions and would continue his efforts.
