Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa received US Special Envoy for Syria and Iraq Thomas Barrack at the People's Palace in Damascus. Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani was also present at the meeting.

According to an announcement by the Syrian Presidency regarding the meeting, the two sides discussed developments in Syria and the region. They also explored opportunities for cooperation and coordination on various issues of mutual interest to both countries.

The meeting focused on steps that would serve the interests of both countries, as well as matters that could contribute to strengthening security and stability.
