Condolence messages issued over the explosion in Switzerland
Geneva, Jan. 1 (Hibya) – Condolence messages were published for those who lost their lives in the explosion at the Crans-Montana ski resort in Switzerland.
Reports said dozens of people were killed and around 100 were injured in the explosion at the Crans-Montana ski resort in Switzerland.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus said he was deeply saddened and shocked by the deaths and injuries in the tragic fire in Switzerland, adding: “I extend my heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the families of those who lost their lives and to everyone affected by the incident.”
French President Emmanuel Macron said he was deeply saddened following the fire in Crans-Montana, stating: “My thoughts are with the bereaved families and the injured. I convey France’s full solidarity and brotherly support to Switzerland, its people and its authorities.”
Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel issued a message about the explosion: “I am shocked and saddened by the tragic fire in Crans-Montana. Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones. My condolences to everyone affected. We stand in solidarity in these difficult times.”
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said: “We extend our deepest condolences to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. We wish the injured a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with Switzerland.”
