According to CCTV, Chinese President Xi Jinping conveyed his best wishes for 2026 in his New Year message.

Addressing the public via China Media Group and online, Xi said in a message from Beijing: “Every year, life turns a new page. At the start of the New Year, I extend my best wishes to you from Beijing.”

In his message, Xi Jinping noted that 2025 was the year in which China’s 14th Five-Year Plan for economic and social development was completed.

Praising the country’s efforts, Xi emphasized that the people, acting with entrepreneurship and perseverance, overcame many difficulties and obstacles.

The message also said the set development goals were successfully achieved and that China-style modernization has entered a new stage.
