China Supports U.S.-Russia Talks for Peace in Ukraine
Johannesburg, February 21 (Hibya) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated at the G20 foreign ministers' meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, that China supports the efforts of the United States and Russia to reach a peace agreement in Ukraine.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, "China supports all efforts to secure peace, including the recent consensus between the United States and Russia."
According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, Wang Yi told other foreign ministers, "China is willing to continue playing a constructive role in the political resolution of the crisis."
Throughout three years of war, China has not condemned Russia but has repeatedly emphasized the need for peace.
