It was reported that the satellite successfully entered its designated orbit after being launched with the Long March-2D carrier rocket.
The satellite will provide services such as detecting atmosphere, space, and marine environments, disaster prevention, disaster impact reduction, and scientific experiments.
The launch marked the 491st mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
